Nick Abson brought you Queen's We Will Rock You and Kate Bush's Wuthering Heights. Then in 1990, everything changed. Burnt out, broke, and at his lowest point, lying in the snow in a French forest contemplating never getting up, Nick walked back to his farmhouse with nothing but a desperate idea and a woodland full of trees to sell. What followed was a 35 year obsession that would put him in the crosshairs of oil companies, government departments, and forces he never saw coming. In this first episode, Nick recounts the moment he discovered hydrogen fuel cell technology, a clean, limitless power source that predates oil and gas, worked in space, and was quietly buried on Earth. He speaks candidly about the TV show that started it all, the oil executive who told him gasoline had 25 years left, and why the man who could have changed the world is still working alone in a barn in rural France.
